Module Description:
As we enhance our understanding of addiction medicine through research we strive to improve the treatment outcomes for our patients.  Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) at its core is a combination treatment.  Medication is extremely beneficial in the treatment of addictions however, for many it is not sufficient to maintain recovery.  This module provides basic information on 4 Evidence Based Practices (EBPs) that have demonstrated efficacy in treating the behavioral aspects of the disease of addiction.  Examples of techniques from the covered EBPs are included. These techniques may be done during medication management and/or longer counseling visits.
